In 2022, the port of Aarhus applied for a permission to expand its container terminal, which it found too small. In order to develop a solution, Logistique went into dialogue with a number of sources related to industrial ports in Aarhus and Hamburg, including CEO’s, workers and climate activists.
The port of Aarhus unexpectedly received its expansion permission in May 2023, but the permission was canceled later that year when the mayor of the city – who had also been the chairman of the privately owned port’s board – was caught in fraud and had to resign.
Logistique’s solution for the port of Aarhus was presented at Aarhus Kunsthal in the form of a film, and further illustrated with a container installed next to the building.
